Global Payments Partners with Paywatch to Support Employee Financial Resilience: Pioneering the Implementation of Earned Wage Access among Shared Service Centres

Global Payments, the US-headquartered global financial technology firm and S&P 500 company, has partnered with Paywatch to offer Earned Wage Access (EWA) to its employees at its shared service center in the Philippines. Global Payments is the first Shared Services Company (SSC) in the Philippines to adopt this benefit as part of its commitment to supporting employee well-being. By providing workers with Paywatch’s market-leading financial wellness solution, Global Payments seeks to empower workers to rely on their own work and earned salary if they face cashflow challenges between paydays, preventing the reliance on informal loans or other expensive capital sources.
Global Payments recognizes that strong performance comes with a responsibility to care for its people as a Fortune 500. This commitment is reflected in its People, Access, and Belonging (PAB) framework, which goes beyond traditional DEI initiatives by supporting employees, including their financial well-being.
“Our strength comes from our people and by embedding People, Access and Belonging into our culture, we’re supporting holistic wellbeing that recognizes financial health as an essential for peace of mind, productivity, and long-term success,” said April Marie C. Beley, Director - Human Resources (GSC).

Paywatch, the largest financial wellness platform and employee benefit service in Southeast Asia, brings Earned Wage Access (EWA) to Global Payments Philippines, enabling employees to instantly access a portion of their already earned wages. Through EWA, employees are able to cover everyday needs and emergency expenses by using wages they have already earned, without waiting for payday or incurring additional debt.
Paywatch provides a broader suite of financial wellness tools, including insurance, fee-free bill payments, instant global money transfers, and employee rewards beyond EWA. These solutions help employees build financial resilience while reducing reliance on unnecessary debt. By expanding access to practical financial tools, this partnership with Global Payments Philippines strengthens the company’s mission to empower more Filipinos.
“Global Payments sets a powerful precedent—one we hope will encourage more employers to make financial well-being a core part of their employee benefits as the first Shared Services Company in the country to adopt Earned Wage Access,” concluded Paywatch Philippines Country Manager Rowell del Fierro.
